A cutting mat may seem like a simple accessory, yet many demands are placed on a cutting mat:
The high-quality HBM cutting mats meet all these requirements. These cutting mats consist of a 3mm thick three-layer sandwich of a hard plastic (HD Polystyrene - to prevent cutting through), with a self-healing elastomer on both sides (the cutting surface). Due to the hard core layer in the middle, the cutting mat cannot be easily cut through and the mat retains its shape even after frequent use.
HBM cutting mats can be used on both sides and are provided with useful imprints on both sides, such as lines, circles, and protractors, to serve as a reference when cutting.
