Textured rollers capable of imprinting a continuous repeated pattern on clay and putties. Made from clear PMMA plastic with amazing non-stick properties. Non-toxic. They come in different textures that you can buy according to your specific needs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• 1st - Mix the putty/clay thoroughly until ready according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
• 2nd - Spread the putty/clay on a surface to be textured. To ensure an optimal result, make sure you have a smooth and even surface before making an impression with the rollers. We recommend using a plain roller for this purpose.
• 3rd - Depending on the type of putty/clay, it is advisable to wet the roller to prevent sticking.
• 4th - Move the rolling pin slowly, applying equal pressure at all points for an even texture.
• 5th - Cut off excess putty/clay with a sharp knife. It is recommended to do this after it has dried to prevent distortions in the putty/clay.

MATERIALS:

There are countless different types of putty and clay on the market, and all of them can be textured with the right technique.

Typically, polymer clay (Fimo or Sculpey type) is quite easy to work with these rolling pins, as they allow for easy correction of mistakes before baking. If the intention is to create a textured base, we recommend using an MDF base, as you can texture the polymer clay directly onto an MDF base and then place everything in the oven, including the base. The cooking time for these clays is approximately 15 minutes at 150ºC. MDF wood may emit a slight odor, similar to toasted bread, but don't worry, it won't burn!

In the case of epoxy putties, there are different techniques that yield similar results. The good thing is, you don't need to bake them, so they can be applied directly to plastic surfaces.

For Green Stuff putty, which is particularly sticky, it is necessary to lightly moisten the putty or the roller with some water before texturing. You can also reduce stickiness by applying talcum powder or using Sculptor Vaseline.

Other epoxy putties such as, for example, Milliput putty are also suitable, but we recommend not wetting them too much as this will hinder your work. Furthermore, if the mixture is too sticky, it is better to continue kneading until the stickiness is gone.

For this type of epoxy putties, it is very important to clean the rollers thoroughly after use.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

After working with the rollers, use a scratch brush (LINK) and plenty of water to remove any residue from the rollers, if necessary.
