INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• 1st - Mix the putty/clay well until ready according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
• 2nd - Spread the putty/clay on a surface to be textured. For optimal results, ensure you have a smooth and even surface before imprinting with the rollers. We recommend using a plain roller for this.
• 3rd - Depending on the type of putty/clay, it is advisable to wet the roller to prevent sticking.
• 4th - Move the rolling pin slowly, applying equal pressure at all points for a uniform texture.
• 5th - Cut away excess putty/clay with a sharp knife. It is recommended to do this after it has dried to prevent distortion of the putty/clay.

MATERIALS:

There are numerous different types of putties and clays on the market, and all of them can be textured with the correct technique.

Usually, polymer clay (Fimo or Sculpey type) is quite easy to work with these rolling pins, as they allow for easy correction of mistakes before baking. If the intention is to create a textured base, we recommend using an MDF base, as you can texture the polymer clay directly on an MDF base and then place everything in the oven, including the base. The baking time for these clays is approximately 15 minutes at 150ºC. MDF wood may leave a slight smell, similar to that of toasted bread, but don't worry, it won't burn!

In the case of epoxy putties, there are various techniques that yield similar results. The good thing is, you don't need to bake them, so they can be applied directly to plastic surfaces.

For Green Stuff putty, which is particularly sticky, it is required to lightly moisten the putty or the roller with some water before texturing. You can also reduce stickiness by applying talcum powder or using Sculptor Vaseline.

Other epoxy putties such as, for example, Milliput putty are also suitable, but we advise against making them too wet as this will hinder your work. Additionally, if the mixture is too sticky, it is better to continue kneading until the stickiness disappears.

For these types of epoxy putties, it is very important to clean the rollers thoroughly after use.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

After working with the rollers, use a scratch brush and plenty of water to remove any residue from the rollers, if necessary.
