The untamed fringes of the world are the domains of wolves. Some packs are simple beasts seeking prey. Others are allied to witches, druids, and shamans acting as their eyes and ears, and if need be, teeth when protecting the land. Other packs fall under the sway of dark beings: wicked warlocks and dark druids. Vampires have an affinity for wolves, employing them as spies and foot soldiers. Regrettably, some wolves are compelled to join werewolf packs, stalking human prey for the sheer joy of bloody slaughter. A druidess tasked with protecting a secluded stretch of forested hills approaches a party of adventurers for their help. Her pack has fallen under the dire influence of a noted poacher who recently contracted lycanthropy. The druidess is desperate and worried that her wolf companions may be lost to darkness forever.
