If the intention is to create a textured base, we recommend using an MDF base, as you can texture the polymer clay directly onto an MDF base and then place everything in the oven, including the base. The cooking time for these clays is approximately 15 minutes at 150ºC. MDF wood may leave a slight smell, similar to that of toasted bread, but don't worry, it won't burn!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the case of epoxy putties, there are different techniques that achieve similar results. The good thing is, you don't need to bake them, so they can be applied directly to plastic bases.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor Green Stuff putty, which is particularly sticky, it is required to slightly moisten the putty or the roller with some water before texturing. You can also reduce stickiness by applying talcum powder or using Sculptor Vaseline.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOther epoxy putties like for example the Milliput putty are also suitable, however, we recommend not to make them too wet as this will hinder your work.
