Painting and assembly tip:

Place material on a plinth or base as a test until you have found the right combination or position for the rock. Pin if necessary. This material can be glued with wood glue, PVC glue or superglue. Then prime the base. My method is to brush with various shades of grey and apply several washes of Nuln oil, Agrax Earthshade and Camogreen. Finish it off with tufts of static grass if desired.

The great thing about this material is that you can easily pin the model. And create your own cool base.

These raw materials come in various forms:

• Crushed stone / Gravel (small) average 2 mm
• Stone from half a cm to approximately 1 cm
• Sand from very fine sand to approximately 1 mm

Tip:

There are a few ways to work with raw materials when it comes to the final look.

• First, ensure your sub-base is primed, possibly with a base colour over it (e.g., brown and/or green). Then apply the raw materials. In this case, the colour scheme of the raw materials is important for you.
• First, finish your scenery and spray everything with primer, then you can start working on the scenery with colours. Please note! It doesn't matter what colour raw materials you use here. Personally, I choose black because of the shadow effect.
• To attach the raw materials, I use wood glue, which I apply with a brush and then sprinkle with gravel or sand. For applying larger stones, I use more glue and stick them individually.

For a nicer finish, combining the various types of rocks, gravel, and sand is a must.

I usually use very fine sand to give the appearance of moss on and between the stones.
