Painting and assembly tip:

Place material on a plinth or base as a trial until you have found the right combination or position for the rock. You can pin it if necessary. This material can be glued with wood glue, PVC glue, or superglue. Then prime the base. My method is to brush with various shades of grey and apply various washes over it, such as Nuln Oil, Agrax Earthshade, and Camogreen. Finish it off with tufts of static grass.

The great thing about this material is that you can easily pin the model. And create your own tough base.

These raw materials are available in various forms:

• Crushed stone / Gravel (small) average 2 mm
• Stone from half a cm to approximately 2.5 cm
• Sand from very fine sand to approximately 1 mm

Tip:

There are several ways to work with raw materials when it comes to the final appearance.

• First, make sure the substrate is primed, possibly with a base color over it (e.g., brown and/or green). Then apply the raw materials. In this case, the color choice of the raw materials is important for you.
• First, finish your scenery and spray everything with primer, and then start working on the scenery with colors. Please note! In this case, it doesn't matter what color raw materials you use. Personally, I choose black for the shadow effect.
• To attach the raw materials, I use wood glue, which I apply with a brush and then sprinkle with gravel or sand. For applying larger stones, I use a little more glue and stick them one by one.

For a nicer finish, combining the various types of rocks, gravel, and sand is a must.

I usually use very fine sand for the appearance of moss on and between the stones.
