Trolls are all too common in the Caves of Doom and the Westbarrow Hills. These hideous creatures are twice the size of a human, have an insatiable hunger, and are strong enough to tear an armored warrior in half. Cave trolls, hill trolls, and even mountain trolls pose a constant threat to adventurers and travelers alike. For years, rumors have circulated in the taverns of Barrowgate about a large two-headed troll named Lardgulp that roams the Caves of Doom.
Recently, a member of the prestigious Golden Unicorns stumbled into the Green Griffin, severely wounded. Half-mad with fever, she spoke of a large, lumbering, brutal two-headed troll that tore her companions apart while having a conversation with itself. She returned to Barrowgate with a fortune in jewels and will share her wealth with whoever avenges the deaths of her companions by bringing her the troll's heads.
