Flat synthetic brushes
There are endless types and sizes of brushes, and they are all designed for different tasks. Green Stuff World's brushes are expertly handcrafted and designed to help you paint your armies to an exceptional standard.
Synthetic hair brushes are very similar to natural hair brushes, but are more suitable for less experienced painters or techniques that require a less diluted medium, such as dry brushing. Ideal for a single-stroke technique, and in general for any other technique that requires loading lightly diluted paint. Synthetic brushes perform worse in a more diluted medium. For this task, use natural hair brushes of the Kolinsky variety.
Compared to natural hair brushes, synthetic hair brushes require less maintenance to keep their tips in shape. Also, since synthetic brushes absorb less water and paint, we DO NOT recommend them for washing, blending, layering, and degradation techniques.
If necessary, shape the bristles to a point after use and do not allow paint residue to dry between the bristles. After painting, leave them upside down to avoid deformation of the tips. Proper maintenance of these brushes will ensure you enjoy them for a long time.
Flat brushes are useful for blending and fading, creating rust and dirt streaks. Synthetic fibers are designed to withstand the most demanding painting products.
