Flat synthetic brushes
There are endless types and sizes of brushes, and they are all designed for different tasks. Green Stuff World brushes are expertly handmade and designed to help you paint your armies to an exceptional standard.
Synthetic hair brushes are very similar to natural hair brushes but are more suitable for less experienced painters or techniques that require a less watered-down medium, such as dry brushing. Ideal for a single-stroke technique, and generally for any other technique where slightly diluted paint needs to be loaded. Synthetic brushes perform worse in a more diluted medium. For this task, use natural hair brushes of the Kolinsky variety.
Compared to natural hair brushes, synthetic hair brushes require less maintenance to maintain the shape of their tips. Since synthetic brushes also absorb less water and paint, we do NOT recommend them for washing, blending, layering, and degradation techniques.
If necessary, reshape the bristles to a point after use and do not let paint residue dry between the bristles. After painting, store them upside down to prevent deformation of the tips. Proper maintenance of these brushes will ensure a long lifespan.
Flat brushes are useful for fading and blending, creating rust and grime streaks. Synthetic fibers are designed to withstand the most demanding paint products.
