A long time ago, this formidable dragon plundered the city of Ebrajin, destroying the stepped pyramid dedicated to Ahatmoth - a Hakirian river goddess. After leveling much of the city, Chaarondar took the massive gold ark containing Ahatmoth's divine remains. Without the relic, the remaining believers became embroiled in street brawls, her priests lost their authority, and the faith perished. As the river dried up, the lake emptied, the city was abandoned, and eventually swallowed by the desert.
After centuries of looting and pillaging, the mighty dragon has retreated to her lair to rest on a bed of coins, jewels, and fabulous treasures. Chaarondar's scaly skin has not been seen for almost a century, but she has recently stirred. A group of adventurers stumbled upon her lair and disturbed the sleeping beast. Enraged, she devoured the so-called dragon slayers. The great dragon now watches from her mountain lair, awaiting the moment when the Orcs of Kargir will invade Vestonia. In the ensuing chaos, Chaarondar will descend upon the green lands, reducing forests and fields to ash and cities to rubble.
